We currently have the following vacancies within the group. Should one of these vacancies be of interest, please feel free to contact the Group Scout Leader, Graham South (Southy) who will be happy to meet up over a coffee (or a beer) and explain a bit more about the post. You can tailor your involvement to suit the time you have to spare. Not everyone has the time to be a Section Leader however, your group needs you!
Full training for every post will be provided.
Cub Leader (CSL): Sadly our two joint Cub Leaders are departing at Christmas so we have a vacancy. The Cub Scout Leader will have overall responsibility for the running of the section. This means planning and delivering the Balanced Programme with the help of the Assistant Leaders and Section Assistants.
Assistant Cub Leaders (ACSL): As our joint Cub Leaders are leaving, this creates a vacancy for ideally two Assistant Cub Leaders (ACSL). The ACSL is there to support the Cub Scout Leader and help out regularly at meetings, camps etc although not necessarily every week. They are Warranted Leaders, wear a uniform and can run the meeting in the absence of the Cub Leader, should the need arise. Assistant Leaders are supported by Section Assistants and other Assistant Leaders.
Section Assistants: All sections need helpers. These are similar to Assistant Leaders, but there is the option to do less training and they can choose whether they wear the uniform.
Executive Committee Vacancies.
Secretary: This person assists the Chairman in the effective administration of the Group by providing administrative support. This could be maintaining records or completion of the annual census. They also take minutes at meetings and distribute them.
